Personality |
Malice is the what Dark often considers in an unhappy way "the perfect demon". She shows no mercy to anyone she views as her enemies and she has no problem doing whatever it takes to ensure her own victory. She has a softer side, but its rarely seen unless you are someone who is in her family, and even then it's only seen by those that she likes to be closest to.
Malice often comes across as condescending, haughty, and nasty. She prefers to show her fangs rather than a smile, and she has no problem letting anyone she feels as beneath her know that she isn't fond of them. She is as steady as a rock in battle and never wavers, which makes her a powerful ally and terrible foe. Malice's personality makes her aura, the shade of her heart, look blood red to anyone who sees it. Her past and continuing actions stain her soul with red, and her insistence on keeping her gentler and kinder side hidden means that unlike most souls, any other color that would represent her is not seen by those who can actually see auras. |
Earlier Life |
When Malice was young she was very close to her two siblings, Rage and Dark, and often played with them. She always felt as if she was only living in Dark's shadow, since she was their parents's favorite, and strove to be better than her. She could never quite match Dark's ferocity as a pup on the battle field however, but she never outright hated her sister. While she hated being in her sister's shadow, she loved Dark and looked up to her younger sister as her role model and rival. Malice's relationship with Rage was far closer than it ever was with Dark, since she felt like he understood her better. Their brother was far gentler (in the demon world at least) that they ever were, and she felt a need to protect him.
Since Malice was always chasing after Dark's shadow and unable to catch her, Malice strove to gain her parent's approval in different ways, and even the approval of her sister. She honed her natural skills and abilities so that she could be worth of her sister's praise. She knew that her parents would choose as the next Queen of their kingdom, and while she wasn't entirely happy with the plan, she loved her sister and wanted nothing more than to help her sister achieve her goals as Queen. As the eldest, she took it as her duty. During the Battle of Broken Skulls however, Malice saw Dark retreating and was hurt and puzzled by this reaction, since she knew her sister was a fierce warrior and never fled from battle. Upon following her, she happened upon the scene of their parent's murder by the King of Angels, Nick, and grew bitter and angry for having the love of her mother and father taken from her. She vowed vengeance on him and every Angel that ever lived, and even anyone who was ever involved with her. Dark however could not make the same claim, and Malice began to hate her for not "loving their parents enough" to hate Nick. Upon leaving Dark's side, she quickly found Rage, who had been terrified by what he had seen and had been changed into an anxious mess. Malice felt yet more anger towards the Angels for taking her brother from her as well, and began to act differently when he was around. Rage, too scared and unsure to argue, began to follow her lead and do everything she said for him to. To an outsider, it would appear that Malice only enjoyed using her brother for her own ends, but her true motives for doing this was love. She didn't know any other way to show her affection to her brother, and began telling him what to do to give him structure to his life and protect him from whatever thoughts were in his mind. As years passed and they grew, Rage grew to become more and more dependent on Malice for direction in his life, and Dark drifted ever farther away from the two of them. Malice became slowly more enraged with Dark's apparent boredom about the war that they had been fighting for centuries. Thoughts of desertion and no longer killing Angels was treason in the kingdom, and she knew that this was what her sister was thinking. At first, she wanted to turn her sister back from her "traitorous" beliefs, but eventually The Great Calamity began to whisper to her and give her ideas of killing her sister, becoming the new Queen, and pushing the war to a greater height than it had ever been at before. While unaware that these thoughts were not originally her own, they quickly became her mantra for living. |
Abilities |
Malice's Demon Form is known as the Earth Pillar, in which her body structure is changed. Her earthy toned pelt remains, but spikes of earth appear to be growing from her more reptilian tail, around her paws, around her neck, and form spines down her back and part of her tail. Her strange fur pattern and ears give her a look of being more like a dinosaur than a wolf when changed, and her black eyes give her a soulless and unwavering appearance in battle.
Malice has the ability to summon pillars of spikes that are as sharp as the spines on her body, impaling her enemies and promising a painful and efficient death. In the same way, she can use her body as a lethal weapon and can fight in close range, using her tail as a whip and the various spines on her body to cause painful wounds. She can also encase herself in a thin armor of sand that will provide her protection when close to an enemy. Malice's earth abilities also allow her to cause small earthquakes or split the ground beneath the opponent's feet and send them spiraling below. She can fight in nearly any terrain effortlessly because of this, as long as its connected to the earth, and her combinations of close to medium range attacks make her a terrifying opponent to face in battle. |
