Personality |
Gold was once a confident and powerful young wolf. Though she was often picked on because of her name, she never struck out in anger and always tried her best to help others. Those people who did like her for what she did fueled her courage and she was soon unafraid of anything. Her ability with healing herbs was never the best, but it didn't stop her from trying.
After the death of her pups and seeing her mate change however, her temperament took a nose dive. She soon became jumpy and paranoid, following Surge around as if she had no where else to go. She put up with him snapping at her because she loved him and blamed herself for how he had changed. She tried to support him and has become slowly more timid. Because of this, her aura, or the Shade of her Heart, is gold. Since she is no longer the confident and powerful young wolf that she was however, it comes across as a faded color. The old her is still in there somewhere, but its buried deep. |
Earlier Life |
Gold's mother was a young healer in the pack, and she was also a Shade Seer, meaning she could see the shades of other wolves hearts and tell everything there was to see about them. She noticed immediately that though her pup was white and gray, her aura was a bright gold color. As time went on, this became evident as to why. She was a happy and healthy pup that liked to help others as much as she could. Because of this, she began to train Gold and gave her the name that she has.
Gold's mother soon caught a disease that no amount of medicine could help heal. Though Gold's training in being a medicine wolf was not complete, she used what little knowledge she did have to try and help others. She ignored the increased taunts of others in her pack and continued to be kind to them. Though she herself did not understand the reason why her mother had given her the name of Gold, she cherished it. Her father was the leader of their pack and ignored her unless he had to speak with her, seeming to look on her as a failure. However as hard times hit their pack, they turned their attention to the game rich area where their rival pack lived. An attack was soon launched, and Gold was out there trying to help everyone that needed her help as always. After finding an injured member of the other pack and attempting to help him, she meets Surge, and quickly finds herself drawn to his kind nature. The two continued to meet, but were soon discovered by their packs who were still currently at war. Not wanting to lose each other, they left their old lives behind and fled from the area. They traveled far until they reached a largely uninhabited area where there were only a few Hybrid Wolf Packs nearby, who welcomed them. Here they began their family, and Gold soon had three children, Dylan, Kyle and Serenity. They lived here happily for several years until Surge left one day to hunt. During the time he was gone, the Battle of Broken Sulls began and Gold found herself and her pups stuck in the middle of it. Surge, upon returning, begged for the help of the neighboring Hybrid Wolf Packs who completely ignored them and ran from the battle as soon as they could manage. Surge and Gold however weren't so lucky and soon found themselves stuck between a Demon and Angel. After the Angel fell, the Demon leaped on the family. Surge received a scar across his left eye for his trouble, and together he and Gold managed to kill the creature. By then however, their pups had already been killed in front of them. Numbed and saddened by the death of her pups, Gold simply followed Surge when he fled and continued to support him. She was unhappy with the idea of hurting pups, but continued to fight against Surge's enemies with him if he asked her to. She blamed herself for the death of her pups and the way her mate had begun acting, and continued to follow him to try and help him. Surge began to snap at her too, which she rationalized as deserving from him. Gold helps Surge found the Rogue Pack and continues to fight with him against any Demon, Angel or Hybrid wolves that they find. Still looking to find a way to help him, years pass, and it becomes increasingly apparent that there is little she can do. |
