Personality |
Halia is not a fighter and never has been. She has always been a kind and gentle soul, making sure to pass those lessons on as well as she could to her two children. She was not afraid of battle or death, being a medicine wolf, but she did her best to take care of anyone she could whether they were enemies or not. Halia was never afraid to die, and the only wish she had in her heart was that one day the war would claim no more lives.
Halia spent much of her life caring for the wounded and smiling, calming the hearts of many who had lost so much to the demons during the war. Her words were soft and gentle and her smile had a way of calming even the fiercest rage. She was well loved by the Angels despite her "weak heart" and she was treated almost like a celebrity. Her kind nature even managed to melt the heart of her mate, Nick, and allowed him to be a kinder wolf for a while. Because of her gentle nature and kind heart, her aura, or the shade of her heart, was a gentle baby blue not unlike the color of her son, Zero's, soul. Despite any harm or hurt she always found a way to care for others in her heart and see the best hidden inside. |
Earlier Life |
After the deaths of Nick's family as many young wolves as possible are drafted to join the army. Halia however does not join the army and refuses to fight, believing that they can find a way to end the war peacefully and without any more bloodshed. Her parents were both killed during a battle and she had no siblings, so she was left alone. Instead of dwelling on what she had lost however she tried to turn her attention to what she could do instead. It was quickly discovered that she did not have an affinity for magic.
Unable to wield any kind of weapon and considered to have a weak heart, she was shunted to the side until her natural affinity for healing was quickly discovered. Halia is immediately dragged to train to be a medicine wolf and is made to put her talents to good use. It is during this time when the young King Nick is wounded in a battle, that she meets her future mate. Despite knowing that he is now King and that her words are traitorous she tries to convince him that there is another way they can fix what had been wronged. Nick doesn't turn her in, and he quickly falls in love with her. She is reluctant to trust her future to a wolf who is obviously so war like, but he promises to take her talks of peace to heart. She finally agrees and the two are married and have their two pups, Sara and Zero. Nick seems to keep his promise and tries to find peaceful ways to end battles as much as possible, preventing any undo bloodshed. It is a slow process, but it is a worthwhile one. Halia is overjoyed to learn that her son, Zero, dislikes fighting as much as she does and turns his pursuits to learning medicine instead of fighting with the blade he could wield. She can tell the jealousy that Nick is beginning to feel towards their son for "taking her away" and that unfortunately their daughter Sara is too war like like his father. Halia is devastated to hear that her son has been named an "unfit heir" and unable to bear pups or find a mate because of the ruling, but she is proud that he had decided to take up medicine instead of war. Upon finding the injured Demon King, Fang, Halia tries to heal him and help him get back on his feet despite his growls and promises of pain to all demons. She tells Zero that she is sorry for him because he doesn't know another way of life, and hopes that a little kindness now will prove that one day peace can be achieved. Zero begins helping his mother to heal the King despite Fang's obvious protests, and soon Scarlet appears to "save" her mate. Zero manages to hide from the Demon Queen's wrath, and Halia doesn't fight them at all when she is murdered. Instead she hopes to instill in her son the lesson that sometimes its worth dying for something rather than making something work. Despite her death, this lesson does indeed work to set Zero onto his future path. |
Abilities |
Halia does not have a weapon or any affinity for magic. This means that she cannot fight like other demons and therefore cannot summon a weapon to fight with either way. While she can still fly like an Angel, she does not have any magic that can make her fit to fight in war. What she can do however is sort plants and other materials correctly to heal a wolf quickly. She has a natural talent and almost passive ability to tell what needs to be done to heal another wolf and do so faster than it would normally take. Other than this however, Halia is an extremely odd Angel without the use of magic.
